Retaining walls across Berwick.
From the older established streets near Berwick Village to the newer Berwick Springs and Berwick Waters estates, we build retaining walls and earthworks across the entire Berwick area.
Two Berwicks — two retaining wall problems.
Old Berwick (north of the Princes Highway)
The streets around Berwick Village — High Street, Manuka Road, Inglis Road — have larger established blocks, often with mature trees, bluestone outcrops, and long-standing retaining walls reaching the end of their service life. Most of the jobs we do here are replacements: tearing out a 30-year-old timber wall that’s leaning and putting in concrete sleepers.
New Berwick (Berwick Springs, Berwick Waters)
The newer estates around Clyde Road and the wetlands have flatter blocks but more fence-line walls between neighbours, plus more pools and outdoor entertaining areas that need short walls. Permits in Cardinia Shire (post-2015 estates) are stricter than the older City of Casey approvals — we handle the lodgement.
Common Berwick retaining wall jobs
- Replacement walls — old leaning timber to new concrete sleeper, same line, same height.
- Pool surround walls — usually under 1m, no permit, but engineered to hold up against pool deck loads.
- Boundary fence walls — short walls under fence lines where one block is higher than the next.
- Garden bed walls — decorative timber or block walls under 600mm for landscaped beds and tiered gardens.
